素晴らしい!

久しぶりの伊福部明が音楽を担当したこの作品はビックリするくらいにクオリティが高いです。冒頭の曲の格好良ささは、モスラ、メカゴジラと続く珠玉の名作の幕開けでしたねぇ…。
スペースバンパイア、ロボコップ、と冒頭のメインテーマが格好いい事を痛感するのはサントラを持てば何よりも感じてしまいます。

Two points I want to discuss with this review. First, concerning the order. I received the order within a reasonable amount of time, but unfortunately during shipping the second CD (which includes the music as it is in the movie) was damaged, as was part of the CD case it was in. A quick e-mail to the supplier, and they sent another CD free of charge! While it took awhile (the second order came in late-July/August) much of this has to take into consideration how COVID-19 had disrupted trade and exportation since the seller and the CD was coming from Japan.
Second, in terms of music, the CD is excellent. As mentioned, it is a two-CD set, with the first CD the original recordings of the soundtrack by Godzilla's most famous composer, Akira Ifukube. The second CD includes many of the same tracks, but as how they appear in the movie. While Ifukube is known for repetition in his soundtracks, luckily here, he has number of different great themes to work with that it is not as noticeable, including updating his Rodan theme (best heard in Godzilla vs. Rodan as well as a number of later tracks) and his excellent Mechagodzilla theme (Title track, but heard in at least 5-6 different other tracks). Overall, an excellent CD and must-owned product for any Godzilla fanatic! Also, I do want to congratulate samurai_media at their excellent customer service and understanding!
