Another great tank by Tamiya. As well as an oddity if you are into that kind of thing. Almost completed (rear of turret, painting of figure, decals and tracks still left at time of writing) this model depicts a KVII, ([Klimenti Voroshilov], so named after the People's Commissar for defense at the time of the Russian Revolution) that debuted in the Russo-Finnish war of !939-40 but found considerable problems when facing the Germans in the summer of '41. One of which was that the KVII, with its enormous gun, could only fire on a completely flat surface. The model is a straightforward and a satisfying build although some sections do come together quite awkwardly and the gigantic turret, made up of five or six pieces, is a little bit hard to deal with The tank did not survive into the second year of the Great Patriotic War and was often used as a forward artillery position by the Germans as they were advancing. It was the Ferdinand of the Soviet system.

Not many pieces so it did not take long to assemble, and the plastic looked cheap. However, after painting and assembly, looked great. Great kit for learning or if you are a fan of the KV series.
