I have the smallest Snow Peak fireplace and the insert for charcoal AND the grill. About 8 pounds total. The fireplace and the metal footprint come in at about 4 pounds.
This is perfect for a fire when traveling to sensitive environments - the ultimate in "leave no trace" camping. I carry a few bundles of wood just in case I can't forage for sticks and I travel mostly by canoe.
Excellent design and construction. It cleans up well and is vey durable. I think it's the best fireplace on the market and is light years away from the cheap hibachi or charcoal grills out there. And it's fun to use. I take this rig on every trip!
