彼女の自主制作盤とのこと。見た目に似合わず渋いギターとヴォーカルが聴くことができます。70年代のROCKが好きな方ならすぐにお気に入りになるのではないかと思います。兎に角ギターが上手い。迷っている方がいるのならばプレミアついちゃう前に購入をオススメしますよ〜

Michael Jackson繋がりで大人気ORIANTHIの自主制作盤2005年録音作。

サンタナ大好き娘が自由に弾きまくっている好盤です。確かに商品としての完成度、音質、全体的なクオリティは大ヒットの2nd「BELIEVE」に及ぶまでもなく、アマチュア臭さが漂っています。しかし、私はコレの方が好きです!間違いなく!

ギタリストORIANTHIが聴きたいならコレです。アブリル〜〜みたいなPOPSが聴きたいなら「BELIEVE」でしょう。

このアルバムの路線で行ったほうが、業界では長生きできると思います。流行りで終わらせるのは勿体ないです。

21歳の若きOrianthiが自主制作したものということで、
歌詞も解説も無く、彼女のメッセージと写真が付いて
いるだけのシンプルなCDです。
２作目以降のプロの手が入ったアルバムに比べると、
まとまりが無い感じがするけど、彼女の意欲と勢い
は十分伝わってきます。
ベストアルバムvol1には、このCDの曲は入っていません。
ファンなら買っておいて損はしないと思います。

自主制作なだけに、『Believe』とは違って、全曲Orianthiによるもので、彼女が好きにギター弾きまくってます。ドラムやベースまで弾いている。とても20歳のときの自主制作とは思えないできばえ。ギタリストしての彼女の腕前はすばらしい。正直いって気に入ってます。ヴォーカルも悪くない。反面、彼女が好きなSantanaなんかの影響がもろに出ていて、これではメジャーデビューは無理だなと感じてしまう。また、ささいなことだけれど、フェイドアウトではなく、突然終わってしまうかのような曲がいくつかあるのはストレスがたまる。

オリアンティは初めて聴きましたが、良かった!!
この方すごいよ、ホント!なんていうか、ギターが好きなんだっていう想いが強く伝わってきますね。
ギターの音色が細かく響いてくるというか、とにかくカッコイイです(*'∀`*)これはギターの音が好きな方はオススメですよ!

歌なしの曲だけのもありますが、それも聴きごたえがありますよ☆
もちろん歌も素晴らしいです♪
哀愁が漂う曲もあり、晴れた日に聴きたい曲、ドライブミュージック、部屋でまったりしたい時、
様々なシチュエーションで聴けるアルバムです。
みなさんも是非聴いてみてくださいね♪

...gelandet bei Believe und Believe II wie ein Bettvorleger. Die letztgenannten Alben sind dermaßen auf Pop getrimmt, daß man kaum einen Unterschied zu Avril Lavigne hört. Das hat Orianthi aber gar nicht nötig. Um des schnellen Erfolgs Willen ist sie da sicher falschen Empfehlungen gefolgt.

Das Album Heaven in This Hell von 2013 ist dann aber wieder von besserer Qualität. Sehr hörenswert, produziert von D. Stewart übrigens.

Violet Journey ist jedem zu empfehlen, welcher gute gitarrenlastige Rockmuski liebt. Hier u.a. inspiriert von Santana & Co., toll!

South Australia is - among other things - famous for its' wine region with Barossa (great Shiraz wines), the Clare Valley, and Coonawarra being three of the nine all within a 90-minute drive of Adelaide which is where another gem of South Australia, Orianthi, originates.

When she was 18, Santana was appearing in Adelaide and invited her to join him for a sound check meeting. The King of Guitar was so impressed he invited Orianthi to join his band on stage and her "sound check meeting" turned into a 35 minute performance on stage with him and his band, which included a solo in front of her home town people of Adelaide.

When Carlos Santana says you are the greatest guitar talent he has ever heard, then you know you are special.

Her guitar playing is incredible and, like Santana, it is distinctive and her second voice. Some may say that, like Santana, her guitar is her voice.

Violet Journey opens with "Lights of Manos" a bluesy style instrumental that truly highlights her second voice. "He's Gone" introduces us to her own bluesy and very soulful voice backed by her guitar playing.

"Violet Journey" is the 2nd instrumental in the first three tracks and this is a true rocker that is reminiscent of anything Santana, Hendrix, or Steve Rai (all her idols that she wanted to emulate) would produce. She is certainly no shrinking violet on this number. With "Everyday" she is back to her bluesy style singing accompanied by some great guitar riffs.

And so it continues, with the next 6 recordings a terrific mix of blues, soulful and straight up rock, all accompanied by or highlighting her phenomenal guitar playing. "Wouldn't Change A Thing" has a country sound but if you saw her perform with Carrie Underwood at the 2009 Grammy Awards then you know she can adapt to any musical style. It was that performance that really brought her to the attention of the American public.

After that, it was no surprise that Michael Jackson chose her as the lead guitarist for the tour that tragically did not happen. At 24, I am sure that Orianthi will, like the fine wines from her native South Australia, improve with age.

2ème album officiel d'Orianthi, ce disque contient de nombreuses influences de grands "shredders" : Santana, Vai, Satriani, etc... les aficionados les reconnaîtront.
Album pop-rock, très musical malgré certains solos de type virtuose.
2 morceaux m'ont particulièrement plu : Lights of Manos ("à la Santana"), et Right Now (plus rock).

I only bought this because I saw Orinathi play on YouTube by accident,she was playing at NAMM 2006,"Lights of Manos"
I've never heard anyone play like this including Santana,one of my favorites.
It moved me and I had to hear all her other songs too.
"Out of reach" is another one to look out for on the album,she sings well too and the guitar solo is extraordinary,makes my hairs stand on end.
All the numbers are very good and you wont waste your money on this one.
Orianthi plays all the instruments on this apart from a few drum parts in some numbers,very talented lady and good looking too.
I feel this is much better than the later Believe album,which seems to sound like Avril Lavigne on steroids,a loud pop sounding album in general......
Violet journey is natural,has a lot of feeling and is lovely to listen too,it proves Orianthi has all the talent she needs to produce an excellent album.
