I bought this camera on a whim because I was looking for something small, cheap, and something that had a front and back view for filming videos. I like this a lot because it does exactly what it needs to do. You don't really have to look at the directions to know how to use it, there aren't that many controls. It's simple and does the job, plus it has great quality. The usb is definitely very convenient when it comes to charging and transferring videos. I really hate that you can't use the camera while it's charging, and the usb attachment (cord to extend the charger, only by 4 inches really) is just too short. If you're a Mac user, this camera is even more convenient for you because the video format is in mp4. For anyone that doesn't have a Mac has to resort to using the program that goes along with the camera. Whenever you sync your camera to your computer, the videos and pictures you take are organized however you like (I prefer by day) and puts the media into it's rightful folder. Really really convenient to use the program because it converts the videos for you to the format of your choice, it takes a bit of time though. One of the things that I don't like about this video camera is the battery. I'll charge it for a whole day, knowing that I'll be using this the day after and the battery on the camera will only last for an hour if it's constant use, 4 hours if it's here-and-there use. So if you intend on purchasing this product, make sure you get a matching back-up battery, maybe two if you plan on using this for long trips or events. Oh, and a case! It really does scratch easily. I have the white one, which is not very noticeable but I regret taking the screen cover off when I first got it because there's a bunch of scratches on it now.

Compared to the smaller video cameras the size of 1/3 of a pack of cigarettes, this Sony Bloggie is the size of a pack of cigarettes, but the image quality and dependability puts it in a whole different class. This is no cheap throw-away. It's meant for uploading videos to the internet, while retaining a high-quality video image. It also takes very decent still photographs.
I bought the Sony Bloggie for one main purpose: aerial videography. I mount this videocamera on a model airplane. But since it's so big, the plane also has to be big enough, with a minimum 71" wing span. Other users have done this type of aerial imaging for real estate ads if the local laws would allow it. Certainly, it is a lot cheaper than using a full-sized, piloted airplane.
I gave the Bloggie 4 stars. If Sony can make one half this size, it would be ideal for model airplanes.
