一番は値段がお得！通常のDVD-BOXより安いです。
全部英語表記ですが、音声は日本語・英語選択できます。特にこだわりがないなら十分です。
購入前の注意点は再生できるDVDプレイヤーが限られるので、お使いのDVDプレイヤーの設定を確認が必須です。
私の場合はレンタルショップで１０年前以上前に購入したYTOシリーズのDVDプレイヤーで再生できました。

　放送当時に録画したVHSを探すのが面倒になって来たので北米版を購入。
このS.A.V.Eシリーズは値段が安い所、一つのトールケースに4枚入っているので嵩張らない所が良いと思う。
特典映像はノンテロップのOP/EDとトレーラーだけだが本編を気軽に楽しむだけならこれで充分。
　作品の面白さについては今更語る必要ないでしょう。
原作を知らず何の予備知識も持たず、単なる春アニメ群の一作品として「おお振り」を観た2007年春の衝撃は忘れられない。
このDVDも一気に観てしまった。きっとこれからまた何度も観る事になるんだと思う。

　収録されているトレーラー集の中に「〜夏の大会編〜」の映像も入っていた。
しかし、この第一期の売り上げが芳しくなかった為残念ながら実際には発売されなかったようです。
海外ではウジウジしている主人公の性格を受け入れられない人が多いみたい。日本でも三橋君嫌いな人は居るし海外では尚更なのかな？そこがイイのにねぇ。

これを視聴するために、Amazonでプレイヤーを購入しました。
機械に弱いので、不安もありましたが、無事に再生できました。
大好きなアニメを、安く入手出来て良かったです。
価格差があるのでインポートの方が、お得でオススメです。
2ndシーズンがないのが、残念です。

総集編はカットが多く物足りず、かといって通常のDVDは高価なので手が出ず。。。
そんな中、試しに購入してみました。
最初、PCでしか再生できず、がっかりしましたが、リージョンフリーのDVDプレーヤーがアマゾンでも安く売っていたので、購入して再生してみたらしっかり視聴できました♪
英語と日本語の切り替えもでき、英語で聞くのも面白いです（当然ながら声がイメージと全く違いますが。。。）。
全話収録されていて、値段も手頃で、DVDカバーも一つにまとまっているので場所も取らず、良い買い物ができたと思います。

ケースはPS2ソフトと同じ大きさで4枚全部収まっているのでおき場所に困りません
字幕も設定でちゃんと消せるので日本版と同じように見られます

OPEDともに日本と同じなのは嬉しいです。

2500円ちょっとでおお振り1期全話見れるのでお買い得です
特典などはつきませんが映像だけ見たい私のような人や英語の勉強する方にはお勧めだと思います

　この値段で買えるのは実に素晴らしい。
日本語音声にも切り替えが可能なのでつい日本語で聞いてしまいます。英語音声はドルビーサラウンドのようですが、我が家の環境では特に必要のないスペックです。英語音声では阿部君の声がカエルをつぶしたような感じなのがなじみにくいかも。リージョンコードの問題は「DVDを圧縮できるソフトウェア」を使用することで普通に解決できます。

英語の声優は少し、イメージが違うキャストもいるが、愛嬌だと思います。
DVDプレーヤーは地域を変更する回数が限られているので注意が必要です。
専用のDVDプレーヤーを用意しておく事を薦めます。

First of all let me say when it comes to sports I know next to nada. However, if asked what sport I most enjoy watching I'd definitely answer baseball so Big Windup: The Complete Series S.A.V.E had that advantage from the start. Other than that, I really knew nothing about this series, save for the manufacturer description and the opinion of 1 reviewer. For those in the same boat, let me give you another opinion. This is one great anime.

When I first started watching, given the ace pitcher, Mihashi's, personality, I wasn't sure if I should laugh or be annoyed and maybe it was a little bit of both, but the kid really grew on me. Here's someone so shy and so tramatized by his previous experiences as a pitcher you'd think the last thing he'd want to do would be to continue the agony into his high school years, but that's just what he does. Why? Because he loves baseball and most especially he loves to pitch. Fortunately a transfer of schools and becoming part of a team whose members, most especially the catcher, Abe, recognize Mihashi's talents, makes all the difference. Ever so slowly, Mihashi begins to believe in himself. It's a joy to watch.

The previous reviewer made mention of someone possibly thinking some of the boy's actions might be considered gay. Why is it when two persons of the male persuasion so much as touch, such a thing even comes to mind? It's stupid (and no DC Fan 52, I don't mean you <grin>). Not that I would mind in the least, but there are no gay/bl overtones here. What we get in this anime is a healthy, touching dose of comraderie and friendship that's expressed not only by words but by the touching of hands. Sure the guys cheeks pink up a little now and again and Mihashi certainly cries readily enough but hey, when expressing the deeper emotions don't we all get a little embarrassed and sometimes teary-eyed? And not that it's all that important, but might I just add that the touching of hands the boys do is actually part of the mental/meditation training they recieve.

Anyway, the most important thing to remember here is the story and the characters and let me just simply say they're both fantastic. The boys are shown to be not only a team but individuals, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. It was a real pleasure to watch as they learned about each other and supported each other when those weaknesses threatened to overwhelm an individual member of the team. As for the story, again wonderful. I knew on a certain level that some analysis of the opposing team was done when playing a game but I didn't realize the extent of it and how complex it all is. It's amazing, as is the actual game play. Talk about a nail biter. I'd get so engrossed I was watching episode after episode and the only thing that made me stop was becoming bleary-eyed and realizing it was 3 o'clock in the morning!

As far as anime production values etc etc, again I know nada. All I can tell you is it looked good to me. So, to sum it up, great story, engaging characters, heartwarming, exciting, funny, touching. What more do you need? To save money? Buy the S.A.V.E. edition. I did, and it's worth every penny.

Funimation's Youtube channel offers the show for free, but I liked it so much I bought the DVD anyway. I barely had a clue about baseball when I started... and I still didn't quite get it by the end of the show, so I did some reading and studying and then watched it AGAIN. You don't need to know baseball to enjoy this, which is very much a story of character-development, friendship and teamwork, but it really helps. You won't appreciate just how "broken" Mihashi's alleged 9-divisions are until you learn more about pitching, for example.

But really, it's all about the characters. You either like them, or you don't. Some people can't stand Mihashi because of his whinyness or Abe because of his bossiness, but I liked both guys, and liked seeing them work together. The best part of the show is the side characters, though, especially Tajima (Tajima is boss), Izumi and Sakaeguchi.

I strongly recommend it for anyone who likes: Sports. Friendship. High school stories. Slow-paced series. Bromance.
I strongly recommend it for anyone who hates: Overpowered, unrealistic moves in sports shows. Superpowered protagonists/protagonist teams.
I do not recommend it for anyone who likes: Lots of girls. Romance.
I do not recommend it for anyone who hates: Male friendship. Crying. Weak characters. Matches that take 10 episodes to conclude.

Here's hoping some company licenses Season 2 one day.
