国内版のDVDを購入していたのですが、省スペースのために
こちらも買ってみました。個人的にはディスク一枚で
5-8話が鑑賞できますし、お値段も安く非常におすすめです。
本商品はBOXになっていて、Volume1-4を購入した方はこのBOXに
収納できますので、国内版のVol.1-8がBDケース2つ分と非常に
コンパクトになります。

視聴ですが、PC/PS3どちらでも見れました。
字幕も消せますし、日本語再生も出来ますので
特に問題はないかと思います。
特典映像もノンクレジットEDなど入っていたので
非常に満足。

少し気になったのがメニューで、選択項目がちょっと
見づらかったです。字が小さく、最初メニューが出ている
ことに気づきませんでした。

ヘルシングが好きな方で、国内版を揃えるにはお金がちょっと
という方は、こちらを買っての鑑賞をおすすめします。

作品はもちろん素晴らしいです。
自分も前ＢＯＸを４０００円という低価格で購入しまして、実際にあけて、観て、興奮しました。
北米版は値段の変動が激しいため、
もう少しまてば値段がさがるかな？と毎日のように値段チェックするようになったのですが・・・・・

自分の記憶ではこの＜ＶＯＬＵＭＥ５−８＞の価格はそのころ５１００円ほどでしたが・・・・・

６月現在９０００円近くになっています！！つまり単巻計算２０００円以上。（汗）これでは安さがうりの北米版のウリの部分が微妙に・・・国内版はまだまだ高いですがそちらの方も視野に入れそうになります。

２巻構成のＢＯＸで１巻は値崩れの１万円、しかし２巻はプレミアで７万円なんて作品の例もあります。
そんな商法だけはしないでくださいね。

もう少し値段がさがったら購入しようと思います。１万円まであがったら・・・・・・泣きます

＜追記＞11月18日。無事購入できました。
５９８０円でした。BOX付の豪華版ではない通常版ですが、価格内容ともに満足しています。
普通に国内版を定価で購入したら３万以上しますからね。とてもよい買い物をしました。
しかし、のこり９、１０の２巻。こちらの北米版ははたしてでるのでしょうか？

漫画では既読でしたが、アニメになってみると、想像以上に凄まじい光景が広がっていました。
ロンドンは地獄と化し、有象無象の三すくみの戦いが始まります。
ＯＶＡ八巻までの収録なので、非常に面白いところで終わります。

北米版の続巻が出るようなら待つべきでしょうが、出ないのなら、日本版ブルーレイを購入するしかないのかな？
どちらにせよすばらしい作品を安価で見れてうれしいです。

まず北米版ということで少し心配でしたが、brの視聴は何の問題もありませんでした。（dvdはリージョンが違うのでダメでしたが。）内容は言わずもがなですが、素晴らしいです！こんなにおもしろいと思ったアニメは久しぶり。個人的な思いですが、漫画やアニメって大人から眉をひそめられながら、それでも見たいっていうタブー感が伴うものだったのですが、そんな気分を思い出す作品です。ナチだの宗教戦争だの残酷表現だのかなり危ない要素が満載ですが、魅力的なキャラクターたちがむしろそれらを迫力やカッコ良さへと思い切りよくブっとばしてくれます。子供の頃ならキツかったかもしれませんが、大人になった今だからこそのおもしろさなんだと思います。
最近知ったので、お値打ちな北米版で一気に見れたのは非常に助かりました。Vol.9-10だけは国内版を買おうかな。

前半1-4は個人輸入で米国より購入しました。後半は、日本で購入してもあまり値段差がなかったので、アマゾンから購入しました。ちょうどいいとこで終わるので、早く９、１０も見たいのですが、国内版は高いので、じっと海外で販売されるのを待つ予定です。

アニメのQuality自体良かったです。
ただDVDとBDの抱合せ販売の意味がいつもわからない。ただ、輸入盤なのでスリムパッケージで、日本製品を買うよりは全く幅をとりません。ちなみにこの5－8のBOXは1－4が一緒にいれることができるので、すごくすっきりして、ヴィジュアル的にもよいです。

セラスの覚醒シーンやイスカリオテの戦闘シーン、そしてアーカード様の拘束制御術式“零号”解放シーンは見ていて胸が踊ります。圧倒的な戦闘力を誇示し、闘争の愉悦に浸るような笑みを浮かべるアーカード様はとても蠱惑的で、また独特な言い回しの台詞は何度でも聞きたくなるので何回も見てしまいます！

The English releases of earlier Hellsing material were and still are a living proof that dubs of foreign material can achieve a beautiful level of quality.
Hellsing Ultimate 5-8 absolutely continues this standard of excellence, or even improving on it.
If you've never heard of Hellsing before, it's a lot like watching a horror movie, but from the monster's perspective. And the victims are Nazis and Crusaders. The story centers around Alucard, an ancient vampire of immense power, Integra, the head of the Hellsing family charged with protecting England from the supernatural and Master of Alucard. Lastly is Seras, Alucard's fledgling who attempts to walk the line between human and monster, in a fashion that is very well-handled compared to the the usual 'woe is me and my many superpowers' plot. Together they and the rest of the Hellsing Organization must hold back England from total destruction by a resurgent, vampirized Last Battalion, and a genocidal Catholic Crusade.

While the English cast continues to powerfully breathe life into the characters, the stand-out is unquestionably K.T. Gray as Seras Victoria, particularly in the Seventh episode, a pivotal span for the character and the series as a whole that is absolutely performed with the emotion and power it deserves, both on the part of the actress and the sound-engineering additions. The difference in emotion and delivery for submissive-fledgling-Seras compared to full-blown harbinger-of-dark-salvation-Seras is startling and greatly augments the portrayal that this is a completely reborn character rather than just a makeover and power boost.

Is Hellsing Ultimate 5-8 perfect? God no. The dialogue isn't as sharp as the original TV series, the editing isn't as tight, the comedy is out of place in most instances, and some questionable decisions were made with regards to the audio when some characters speak.

But make no mistake, this is great TV.

Over the last four or five years vampire fair has been limited mostly to teen angst relationships and brooding melodramas. Hellsing has none of that. It's violent, dark, and twisted, and volumes 5-8 represent the best of the series thus far.

Volumes 5-8 are principally concerned with the invasion of London by the Last Battalion, a force of 1000 Nazi vampires with the ability to turn victims into zombies, as well as other interested parties later on. Most of this takes place in the first 5 minutes of volume 5 and sets the stage for the next 3 hours of movie left in this box set. A bold decision is made early on to remove the principal defense of the protagonists, which for the first time in the series leaves the good guys vulnerable, resulting in massive casualties for all sides of an ever growing and more out of control battle.

Whereas volumes 1-4 were a collection of interesting encounters with a thin thread of continuity stringing them together, 5-8 are more cohesive and interconnected. The motivations of the characters play a huge part in these volumes, adding just enough depth and nuance to make you identify with people who are facing down death. And truly this show does not shy away from death. Not only do good guys die in this show, they die painfully. The cliche honorable sacrifice abounds, but it's not glorified. Deaths in Hellsing are messy, slow, and not especially dignified. In this way Hellsing is not unlike a modern war movie like Saving Private Ryan. In fact, what little down time exists is spent allowing characters to reflect on their own powerlessness, their fears, their desires, and in many cases their mortality. Volumes 5-7 focus mainly on the pawns of war. The people who are the first to be sacrificed in battle.

Only in the final volume do the tides begin to change as the protagonist, Alucard, returns and unleashes a hell all his own that redirects the series in an altogether new direction before ending on a spectacular cliffhanger.

At over 3 hours long, plus bonus content, Hellsing Ultimate Volumes 5-8 is an absolute steal for $46 or so dollars. Far cheaper per minute than previous releases. Furthermore, the quality of the animation in this show is unmatched. Long gone is the TV series' fluctuating quality. While the CG and the standard animation don't quite blend seamlessly in this series, it's also not distracting. The emotional highs in Hellsing Ultimate are matched only by the intricate and gorgeous visuals that permeate the action scenes.

For fans of Hellsing this is a must have set. Streaming this illegally on the internet, as many will likely do, will pale in comparison to the quality of the Blu-Ray in it's uncompressed form. For people unfamiliar with the series, this is a fantastic time to get into it because there is nothing else like Hellsing Ultimate and there's no way it'll ever end up on TV.

What else is left so say. Hellsing is back, and it's better than ever.
