当方、普通の手の大きさのアラフォー女ハンターです。

チャットはしないので、
タッチペンが出し入れ不可なのは気になりません。

ＬＲボタンの反応もいいですし、
ＬＲが大きくなって押しやすくなったと思います。

狩りに熱中して手に汗握る状況になってくると、
汗でグリップが滑りやすいです。

包み込むように持てるので、
重いですが疲れにくいし、
つけたまま充電も出来ますし、
はめたり外したりも簡単です。

私にとっては「買い」な商品でした。

良い点
　・ＬＲボタンはとても押しやすい
　・包み込む様に持つので安定感を感じる
悪い点
　・3DS本体にあるストラップ穴が塞がる
　・タッチペンが取り出せない
　・厚みがかなり有り、重い
　・成人女性の普通の手のサイズ(ピアノで１オクターブ)ぎりぎり
　・HOMEボタンやスタートボタンに指が届かないので、瞬間的は使いにくい
　・タッチパネルまで指が届かない（戦国無双クロニクル等タッチパネルを指で押すゲームには完全に不向き）
　・充電用差し込み口周りが狭い為、物によっては差し込めない
　　　例： (3DSLL/3DS/PSVita1000シリーズ/PS Vita2000シリーズ/PSP/スマートフォン用)マルチ充電巻き取りカーチャージャー

長所も短所もありますが、お値段のわりに短所が多い商品でした。
同時に買った以下の商品を使ってます子供でも良いサイズで使いやすいと思います。

高いからいいと単純には言えないのがグリップの難しいところ。
ラバーも最初はいいのだが、使ってるうちにボロボロになった過去の経験からコチラを選択。
デザインと重さは微妙だが耐えられる範囲だった。付けるとペンの出し入れは出来ないし、グリップに収納する部分もない。
ストラップが付属していて、付けて通す穴が裏側左右に開いている。
私は手に干渉してウザいのでストラップは外したが、外で使う分には手首に通してプレイが出来る為、落下防止には有用だろうか。
装着時ボタン方面に少しガタつきがあるが、それよりも持ち手部分が無駄に厚い為に手が疲れる方が問題。
子供じゃ使い辛いのではなかろうか。この部分がもう少し薄く、背面にスタンドでもあれば☆４つだった。
中古で1000円以下ではあるし気分を変えたいだけなら、それなりの満足感はあるかも知れない。

通常３ＤＳからＬＬに乗り換える際に「３ＤＳでも使ってたしＬＬでもグリップほしいよなー」と思い、
ＬＲが押しやすくなるタイプが欲しかったので、こちらのグリップを購入しました。

結果から言うと、タイトル通りかなり満足でした。
しかし、手放しで喜べるというわけではなく、いくつか欠点もあるなと思いました。
以下、良い部分と悪い部分を箇条書きで紹介します。

○良い部分

　・グリップ形状
　　紹介写真で見た感じだと、グリップのストローク短くない？大丈夫かな？と思っていましたが、
　　そんなことは杞憂だと思い知らされました。
　　グリップの背面の溝がそこそこ深く、指がすぽっと入ります。グリップから指が浮くこともありません。
　　また、グリップが若干内側にまがっていて、初めは違和感ありそうだなと思っていましたが不思議なことに
　　ぴったりフィット。非常に安定感があります。

　・ＬＲが押しやすい。
　　このグリップの最大の売りです。ＬＲがかなり大きくなり、しっくりくるフィット感と
　　相まって非常に操作が楽になります。手前にあるゴア・マガラの翼爪を意識したであろうでっぱりが
　　指をしっかりとＬＲの上に納めてくれます。この部分を目当てに買ったので非常に良いと感じました。

　・ストラップ使用可能
　　写真を見た感じだとＬＬ側のストラップを着ける部分が埋まっているので、着けれないのかな？と思っていましたが、
　　実際にはＬＬ本体をはめ込む部分の右下、左下に微妙にスペースがあり、ストラップの紐がグリップ裏面に続く穴から
　　出れるようになっています。（そもそもセット用品にストラップが付いてるのに着けれない仕様だったらおかしいですがｗ）
　　これがあったので別に買ったスライドパッドカバーを収納するストラップを着けたままでも遊べています。

　その他、音量バーや無線スイッチ、充電アダプタの穴や赤外線の穴、ゲームカード差し込み口などが塞がっていることもなく、
　ＳＤカード差し込み口とタッチペン差し込み口以外はグリップを着けたままでも使用可能です。
　また、装着していてグラグラすることもありませんでした。

×悪い部分

　・重量がかなり重くなる
　　僕はグリップと本体とその他すこしアクセサリーを着けて遊んでいるんですが、計ってみたところ４９９ｇでした。
　　これはWiiUのタブコンとほぼ同じ重さです。仰向けでプレイしたり、横になってプレイしているとけっこう疲れます。

　・デザイン面
　　色は紹介写真で見るよりはかなり黒寄りの紫です。シックな色合いで暗い色の３ＤＳＬＬには合う感じです。
　　しかし、左右上に付いているゴア・マガラの翼爪がかなりオモチャっぽい、子供っぽいです。（ゲーム機にオモチャっぽいとか
　　何いってるんだ、とも思いますがｗ）
　　僕のようないい大人がこれを着けてプレイするのはちょっと恥ずかしいかもです。（まぁ着けて遊びますが）
　　ただ、元々大きいので着けてみると子供はかなり喜びそうなデザインになります。僕も小学生だったら多分喜んでましたｗ

　・タッチペン収納が無い
　　個人的に最大の欠点です。
　　グリップ側にペンを入れるスペースが無くグリップを着けると本体のペン収納スペースが埋まってしまうので
　　ペンは取り出せなくなります。
　　タッチパネルを頻繁に使ったり、細かい作業を行うため、タッチペンが必要なゲーム等では少々面倒です。
　　素人目に見ても背面真ん中のスペースを使えばペン収納スペースぐらい作れたんじゃないかと思ってしまいます。
　　ペンの代わりに指を使う人や、タッチペンをあまり使わないゲームをやる人なら問題ないと思います。

◎総評
　グリップとしてはとてもいいものでした。握りやすくＬＲも押しやすい。
　しかし、タッチペン収納ができないのは３ＤＳでは大きい痛手ですね。
　この仕様を見るに、タッチペンをあまり使わないアクションゲーム向けっぽいグリップです。

　以上の点から、☆1つマイナスして、計☆４つです。

３DSでMHシリーズに必須なスライドパッドと勘違いして購入させようとしか思えない商品です。
説明文もあなたの狩りを快適にする！との事ですがスライドパッドでもないのにさらに大きな機材を付けてできることは本来の３DSと一切変わらないという正直存在理由がわからない商品です。

安くなったりゴアマガラデザインの３DSLLを購入された方なら見栄えや気分的に付けるのはありかもしれませんが実用性は皆無です。

There are not many grippers available for the Nintendo 3ds XL unfortunately, and many of the nice grippers are exclusive to Japan. I bought this purely for comfort.

First thing is first, this is nothing more than a gripper for a more comfortable handle. I love playing my 3ds XL, but have to take breaks very often because of hand cramps. I've been searching for a nice gripper that would be easy to use and remove as needed. The 3ds XL is large enough as it is, so I wanted something that I could easily remove when I wanted to take the 3ds XL on the go and reattach when I was playing lengthier games in the comfort of my home. This gripper has rubber pads to hold the bottom of the 3ds XL in place and it's very secure. The top of the gripper has spring loaded clips that lock the 3ds XL in. The instructions are all in Japanese, but the illustrations are very clear as to how to secure the 3ds XL and how to remove it. For safe measure, a wrist strap is included and there is a slot in the handle where the illustrations instruct you to thread to add a guarantee that the 3ds XL will not fall out.

In looking for a gripper, I initially looked at the plastic cradles available on Ebay, Amazon, and Nintendo's own Circle Pad Pro XL.
I purchased one of the cheap unbranded cradles available on Amazon that was less than $7 and was very unhappy with it. This cradle was very secure and very light, but was very difficult to remove once it was locked in. Unlike the MH4 Hunting gear gripper, there was no spring lock mechanism, just very stiff, but secure plastic clips that lock into the bottom and the top of the 3ds XL. Secondly the design of the unbranded cradle does not naturally place your thumb over the left thumbstick, but instead your thumb naturally falls on the D-Pad. The design also made reaching the triggers difficult and ultimately, I was glad the cradle was so cheap.

As for Nintendo's Circle Pad Pro XL, my research revealed that the Circle Pad Pro was great for games that supported the extra analog stick as those games also assigned commands to the shoulder buttons on the Circle Pad Pro for easy reach. Unfortunately, only a hand full of games support the Circle Pad Pro and leaving the Circle Pad Pro attached as a grip for unsupported games made it difficult/uncomfortable to reach the 3ds XL's original R shoulder button. Because the majority of games do not support the Circle Pad Pro, the shoulder buttons on the Circle Pad Pro do not work for games such as Mario Kart 7.

I took a chance on this MH4 grip because I know the Monster Hunter series are very lengthy games that involve very long play sessions, therefore requiring a comfortable grip. This cradle perfectly places your hand over the buttons on the 3ds XL and actually makes it easier to reach the shoulder buttons through a spring loaded mechanism in the cradle.

Ultimately, this MH4 cradle is for pure comfort. It adds absolutely nothing as far as gameplay.

Of note, the cradle leaves all ports accessible EXCEPT for the stylus.

This is the most comfortable grip I've ever used. I've tried all the ten dollar grips available online and they're all cheap pieces of junk compared to this. You get what you pay for, this grip is expensive but it's worth it. It feels like you're holding an Xbox 360 controller! It adds bulk to the 3DS XL/LL to make it easier to grip, but not so much to make it heavy; you will need a pretty big case for it, though. Your fingers will naturally rest on the L and R triggers, making them very easy to press. The charging port, headphone jack, volume, and wi-fi switch are all easily accessible. It also comes with a wrist strap if you need it, it wraps into the bottom left or right corners of the console before attaching the actual grip. The only downside is that there's no stylus holder but for the much needed comfort it doesn't bother me at all. The instructions are in Japanese but that isn't a problem since it comes with several pictures on how to use it. I recommend ordering from PartsGarden since they offer friendly service and very afforable expedited shipping.

Instructions on how to attach and remove:
Attach the 3DS bottom first, and then the top until the L and R triggers click into it. To remove it, slowly pull the 3DS out from the bottom. Easy to remember, always slide the bottom of the 3DS first no matter whether you're attaching the grip or removing it.

The case fits my 3DS XL without any issues. Above the triggers, there are plastic pieces that does not provide any assistance, so it may be extra weight for aesthetics. It's for Monster Hunter, but I do not plan to play any MH games. It does not include any extra bells and whistles but is a great controller.

I wish it was a little smaller. I can palm a basketball without issues, but the initial feel of this controller is big.

I also wish the black was more black. When held in the sun, the grip looks more purple. At night, it looks nice and dark.

very comfortable no more cramping hands when playing the 3ds xl longer than 15 min. easy access to the l,r triggers plastic is smooth and is nice to hold on too...I do hope to see them make one for the new 3ds xl/ll when released with 2 trigger buttons on both sides i think like this one it will make games much more enjoyable with comfort :)

Hello there, hope you read this before you buy it for that is the point of a review. First things first, this is only for the 3DS XL, not the regular 3DS. Secondly the only way it "helps" gameplay is by making your 3DS XL more comfortable to hold and it has larger "L and R Buttons". And on a not so important note, it's not really purple, it looks to be solid black until you hold it to a bright light.

Now for the important stuff! Sorry this is kinda long. So there is no Circle Pad added with this, and it does not help playing Monster Hunter at all, and it's fairly expensive compared to the Circle Pad Pro XL which also makes Your 3DS XL more comfortable, and has L and R buttons AND L and R Triggers.

So why did I give it 4 stars? I'm being true to my Fandom, I love Monster Hunter, and that's really all there is to it. So unless you flat out LOVE MH, get this if it gets cheaper. But if you just enjoy it as a hobby, go get a circle pad pro.
