The good: the size is good. It’s also asthetically pleasing. It’s also simple and easy to use.
The bad: This drum, holy crap. You have to hit it with the force of the old gods AND the new for it to register. You have to basically POUND on the drum with the drumsticks for it to register, I wish it was more sensitive. You definitely can’t play with the drum set at night. Not only that, it was horribly calibrated with my PS4. I’m talking horrible lol. Took me a while to try and fix that. AND, the notes don’t always register, especially for the blue (side) notes. Try drumming on the top rim of the drum, rather than the sides if you’re having trouble like me (specifically the left side of the blue notes didn't register much). I’m also not a fan of how big the drumsticks are, but that honestly isn’t a big deal.
I’m pretty disappointed with these drums. The main reason I’m disappointed is how much force you have to use to play them, and how the notes don’t always register no matter how hard I hit them. And I feel awkward playing with it because it’s so incredibly loud. So you’re reduced to only using this at a certain time of day unless you want to tick everyone off around you.
This thing was 100 dollars. 100. If it was maybe 50, I’d let it slide and keep trying it. But 100 is too much for me to be this disappointed. I’m going to try it again for a day or two and if I don’t like it, I’m sending it right back to where it came from. I will update in a few days if I have a change of heart.
Overall very disappointed and kind of embarrassed with how excited I was for this drum lol. I sat watching the street for delivery like a kid on Christmas.
The only reason it’s not 1/5 stars is cause it at least works lol. It isn’t broken, just not at all what I had hoped and kind of crappy.
Edit: I'm returning it. I didn't even give it another shot because of how disappointed I was when I got it. There wasn't even a good time for me to practice with it because it is just too loud, and I live with other people. Hopefully there will be an alternative in the future, a drum with higher sensitivity. Sensitivity is VERY important in a rhythm game!
