Sandra B. Griffin always had a dream. She wanted to ride her bicycle across the country. But it never happened.
At sixty-nine years old, Sandra gets the opportunity of a lifetime when her seventy-three year old husband asks if she has a bucket list.
She doesand the list has only one item.
So with her husband by her side, she sets out to make that dream come true.
Griffin shares her story in the inspirational memoir 2700 Before 70. Sure, they suffer plenty of setbacksincluding twenty-one flat tires, a bent rim, and record-breaking heat in the California desertbut through it all, they persevere.
Along the way, they witness the country's beauty. From ghost towns in the desert to grasshoppers in Texas, from an Apache reservation to a special piano marathon by Roger Williams, they witness it all. And they make plenty of friends along the way.
It's a story about self-awareness, a travelogue that details the sights and sounds of our great nation, and, above all, its a testament to the fact that were never too old to make our dreams come true.

the wisdom gained from truly living as it is about the author's amazing physical accomplishment. I felt humbled on both counts.
This is also a book for all ages, from tweens to those of us who are catagorized as elderly. Therefore I am sending this book as a gift
to my son who competes in Triathelons.
S.B. Griffin, thank you for writing something that is clean, uncluttered, wise, witty, and a positive addition to the world of reading. Please
continue writing!

I met Sandy and Gerry on Tybee Island in 2013 at the end of their son Clay and I's TransCon PACTour Elite Tour. Clay was a great roommate, I now understand better some of the motivation that helped him to get through this great adventure.
