We love this book. It has very LARGE and detailed pictures of the the universe (stars, clusters, galaxies, moons, planets, etc) My husband and I received a copy of this book along with some other coffee table books for our wedding 8 yrs ago. Our four young children love to look at this one in particular. It has taken a beating and now has ripped pages that have been taped over and over again. My 4 yr old son with autism especially loves the colorful pictures. He has become very attached to the torn up book. We were thrilled to find this book again on Amazon and bought it immediately to replace the old one. Fast delivery too! So happy to have our beloved book again! Thanks

A well organized photographic grand tour of the cosmos with excellent descriptions for every photograph. Just one nit - the neutron star RXJ 185635-3754 (pg 59) is indeed "..heading our way", but at its closest approach will be 40 light years away!

I lost my original copy and longed for the beautiful images, this book not only has a superb collection of space imagery, but also has a very unique approach to unraveling the Universe.
