2008 digitally remastered five CD EP box set from the beloved British singer/songwriter and former member of Soft Machine. Wyatt's releases come from one of the most distinguished, visionary, influential and singular catalogs in contemporary music. EPs is a box set containing five separate EP length CDs which document different stages in Robert's career and contain material that never appeared on his original albums. The CD set includes extensive liner notes by Robert Wyatt, the original 'Shipbuilding' promo video and a remix EP of tracks from Robert's 1997 album Shleep. The five EPs are housed in individual slipcases and come with a 16-page booklet all designed by Robert's wife Alfie Benge, the inspiration behind much of Robert's work. Domino.

Bel cofanetto di dimensioni poco più grandi di quelle di un doppio CD che racchiude vari EP (da cui il titolo) e singoli pubblicati da Robert Wyatt nel corso della sua lunga carriera. Contiene 5 CD che contengono brani a partire dai primi prodotti da Nick Mason dei Pink Floyd, attraverso il capolavoro Shipbuilding cui partecipò Elvis Costello, fino a pezzi di fine anni '90 in cui compaiono anche Brian Eno e Paul Weller. Confezione e buste interne decorate dai disegni della moglie/collaboratrice di Wyatt Alfreda "Alfie" Benge.

Después de la reciente recopilación "Different Every Time" repasando su discográfica disponible he encontrado esta maravilla que no dudo en recomendar encarecidamente. 5 CD- EP que recoge extrañezas y nuevas versiones y mezclas. Ademas de su mágica versión del tema de los Monkees, "I'm a beliver" torne de todo, desde versiones de canciones conocidas, algunas en castellano a incursiones en el Wyatt mas experimental. Para los que sigan a Wyatt es indispensable, y para aquellos que no lo conozcan es la guía esencial de este músico. La presentación es magnifica, en una hermosa caja con los 5 CD y sus portadas individuales. Mención especial a su versión de "Te recuerdo Amanda" en castellano. Excelente precio.

You either love this music or you hate it, there probably isn't much in between. The earlier reviews cover the music, but the presentation of this set is just fantastic - not a bit of plastic in sight for a start. The music would very nearly fit onto 1 CD ( less than 100 minutes or so ) but has been presented on 5 broadly themed CDs in 5 individual card sleeves with lovely art work and a booklet all within a quality hinged thick card box. It's just a pleasure to own. In the same post I received a double CD in one of those huge plastic double CD boxes, which seems big enough to hold about 6 discs and almost immediately cracks, falls to bits or spills one of the discs out onto the floor - come on chaps, do it like this !!!
