この値段で手に入ったのはとても嬉しい。
画質は申し分ないし、音も良かったように思う。
内容に関しては言わずもがな。ぜひ見てもらいたい一作です。

問題があるとすれば、それはピクチャーレーベルの印刷が荒いこととジャケットやケースがしょぼいこと。
ケースの中にはディスクしか入っておらず、その他の添付物はなし。
でもまぁ値段相応ってことで。
メニューから日本語音声を選択すると、自動的に英語字幕がはいってしまいますが、
これはプレイヤー側から字幕オフを選択することで消すことができます。

残念ながら映画を観ることが叶わず、DVDを購入しました。とても楽しめましたか、もう少し長めのほうがいいな。
次回作も楽しみですね。

原作のファンであったので、あの大作をどう映像化するのかと
観るまでは不安であったが、原作者が脚本を書いているだけあり
ほとんど小説の流れを踏襲していた。しかし実写じゃなくて良かった。

とはいえ、あの3作を僅か3時間位におもいっきり凝縮しているため、
原作を読んでいなければ、話の流れはともかく、
登場人物たちの感情を丁寧に追っていくことは難しかろう。

本作は第一作。サーバーパンクな世界観が、やはり
照明や背景の処理も含めて『ブレードランナー』に
なってしまうのは仕方ないとして、映像で見せられると
情景描写や戦闘シーンの大きな情報量を
一気に処理できるのだと改めて感心。

声優さんたちはとっても頑張っているのだけど
原作者の台詞回しをかっこよく云うのって難しい・・・。

マルドゥックシリーズは大好きなので大喜びで見るが…。流石に林原さんにバロットは…。

後ボイルドってあんな見た目なの？

ヴェロシティーのイラストのイメージでいたから、こんな神経質そうじゃねぇだろと思わされっぱなし。

まぁこの一作目はまだ良い方だったのだが…。

役に立った

序章としては上出来

まず私自身、原作未読ですのでその点をご了承ください。
さて全3部作の序章となる本作ですが、長い原作を上手くまとめていると思います。
世界観の説明やキャラクターたちの紹介など「序章」としての役割も十分果たしています。
原作者の沖方丁氏が脚本を手がけていることが大きいのでしょうか。
ただ、やはり駆け足な感は否めませんでした。
これは尺の関係もあるので仕方ないのですが、登場人物の心情をもっと深く掘り下げてほしかったかなと感じます。
また絵柄もかなり凝った作りになっていますがもう少しシンプルでも良かったのではないかと・・・(この辺は個人差ですが)
カッコイイのですが、ちょっと見にくい気がしました。
とはいえ、まだ1章ですし期待できる要素も大いにありました。
今後の展開で評価も変わるのでしょうが、現時点では良作と言っていいと思います。

英語版はリージョンフリーのdvdプレイヤーが必須です。dvdプレイヤー購入中で、本dvdが見れないため星1。作品自体面白いらしいですが、手軽に見れないのは残念。ps3やps4では見れません。

見たあとの評価は星4です。クオリティは良かった。
英語版と日本語版両方(片方は誤って購入)持っておりますが、
英語版だと省略されたシーンがあるように思われます。
よって、日本語版を購入されたほうがいいです。

もちろんまだなぞは残りますがとても面白かったです。
林原さんが好きで見てみましたが、やはり声が可愛いし、ストーリーも面白いですし見てよかったです。
林原さんと八嶋さん良かったです、バロットとウフコックの絆に泣けました
世界観も町の風景もとても好きです。良かった（笑）

もの足りなかった。というのが見終わったあとに出てきた感想でした。
流れ的には非常に忠実でしたが、それゆえに大まかな流れを追うだけになってしまい。キャラクターの持ち味を殺してしまっていた点がもっとも気になりました。
特にバロットの能力特性の理由付けにもにも繋がる特技(?)「自己を第三者的に眺めてみせる」部分が一切触れられていなかったのも大きいです。
これは後々の彼女の成長と克服を表すのに必要だと思ったので。
あとはボイルドの64口径の異形さがあんまり出てなかったのも、ボイルド好きとしては残念でした。

どこを削るかと問われて、即答できるような箇所もないので結局は尺の問題になってしまうのかもしれませんが、それだけにおしいと言わざるを得ないです。

ただ畜産業者の面々は完璧でした。

Today i just watched mardock scramble the first compression and i must say I absolutely loved it! I've been reading other reviews that are knocking it because the way it ends, and i must say that does not make this a bad movie. Think of the new berserk film trilogy, the way those films leave off makes you just wanna watch the next one right? The way this one ends made me wanna throw the sequel in right away, i had to have more!!!! I've been watching anime since i was young and i have to say over the last few years a lot of anime coming out has lost the spark that it used to have. Most series now all focus on fan service, or all involve stories about nerdy teenage boys with all these big titted women hanging around him, yeah it's fun i get it, but where is the drama? This movie is not for children!!!! Just let me throw that out there, but anyone that loves a good action/cyber punk drama will love this film. I can't wait for the other two movies and i hope that they impress me the way this one did. I have a feeling they will and I hope anyone reading this will give this series a shot. I will be blunt do not go into this movie expecting a hour of straight action, like I said this series mainly focuses on Main character Rune Balot and her tortured past, but by the time the ending comes you get treated to a bad ass action sequence, a good finale to a great movie. The way it ends will have you on the edge of your seat just waiting to see the next part. Well I hope my review may help with wanting to watch this or not, oh and one more thing go with the Blu Ray purchase as the dvd is a edit. The blu ray comes with a director's cut which is the complete uncut film.

The back of the blu-ray case states that this film is on par with other cyberpunk greats like "Ghost in the Shell" and "Blade Runner". Usually, I find these kind of statements rather baseless, but in this case, I have to agree.

As you have probably guessed from the product description, "Mardock Scramble: The First Compression" is no K-ON! or Studio Ghibli; it deals with a pretty heavy and dark subject matter, yet manages to do so tastefully. It's worth noting that the main theatrical feature is actually a 15 certificate - the 18 certificate comes from the director's cut, which features explicit sex scenes. However, these scenes are not there for titillation - the way they are shown detaches us from them, leaving only distaste and sympathy for Rune Balot.

Rune is definitely the most likeable anime protagonist of recent history. She is a woman of few words (which are actually spoken through a mechanical voice) but when she does speak we are allowed to see a fragile young girl who finds it hard to trust anyone, yet is willing to cling onto anyone who gives her any kind of positive words. Throughout the film you just want to hug her and tell her that everything will be okay.

In my title, I mentioned that the film was twisted in a sense. However, this does not come from the story, which as I said earlier is done rather tastefully - it comes from the characters. Dr. Easter is one of the most tame, yet proudly exclaims that a morgue of 800 corpses would be like a playground for him. Let's just say that there are some characters who like to transplant some people's body parts onto really unusual parts of their bodies.

As expected from a high definition theatrical feature, the animation is superb - this is definitely a film to buy on Blu-ray. For the most part, the colours don't tend to be bright, fitting with the film's dark nature, but the level of detail is fantastic. I watched the Director's Cut so I have only heard the Japanese cast so far, but they did a splendid job - Rune Balot's "voice" in particular stands out as being hollow-sounding as expected from an artificial voice, but also cute and sweet, as expected from a young girl.

My only complaint would be that KazéUK is still waiting for the English dub of "Mardock Scramble: The Second Compression". However, as soon as I finished watching the film, I ordered the original novel (well, *novels*, but Viz Media printed them in English as one bound volume).

If you are willing to put up with some grotesque imagery and a sad story with a twisted er...twist, then this is definitely the film for you - this trilogy will no doubt be remembered in years to come as a classic.
