There are some reviews that talk about a weird smell with these headbands, and some have said they have a strong smell like diesel fuel. The ones I received did not. Yes, there was a slight chemical smell, but that was to be expected because they are packaged in plastic individually, then the group was packaged in another plastic pouch, and then wrapped in plastic shipping wrapping. I wouldn't have even washed them first, the smell was that slight. However, I did wash all but one (for a control group if you will) in a normal wash cycle along with some t-shirts and such, then dried in a dryer. After the washing/drying there was absolutely no smell at all. Perhaps the other reviewers who received their items with a strong smell, received some specimens that were different than what I received. Bottom line... don't worry about any smell. These are quality made head bands and a great value for the price. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Well made, and well worth the wait from China, I bought 10 Black and 10 White. They fit nicely in the mailbox. These are quite comfortable to wear, some may think that they are a bit tight, but better tight than loose. I usually wear mine with either a baseball hat or pith helmet when working in the yard. These are quite excellent, and absorb and dissapate sweat well.

These head bands are not of the best quality,but they are worth the price for the amount of bands you are getting and they hold up pretty average.

The headbands came in a tightly packed plastic packing inside an amazon box, I received them withing the 2 day prime window. I had read numerous reviews. Only one concerned me about a odor they gave off. Out of the package there was a slight odor. A petroleum smell? but it was hardly noticeable & I would have worn them right away but someone else said to wash them first so they don't shed. After I washed them once. The odor as slight as it was, if I put my nose too it, was still there but it did not seem bothersome at all. I would say one has to be really sensitive to be put off by this. And I think it would go away after some more washings. The quality seems good. They are soft enough and thick enough like those I had paid $3+ dollars for. Ultimately I am very happy with the purchase. Now I have more than enough to use during exercise and I am not worried about over sweating them. I am glad I didn't buy the ones described as "thin" as there are a few seller on Amazon. This seller also did a nice job. They were a bargain 10 for $13.

8-30-16 As headbands will, the ones I purchased in 2014 gradually disappeared, perhaps escaping to freedom (or just getting lost in the laundry) but needing more as I had grown to like them as they wore well and were thick and still sufficiently elastic, so I purchase more. The NEW ONES ARE NOT THE SAME. They are flimsy and thin. Regret purchasing these. Though I will keep them I will surely wear two at a time otherwise they will get soaking wet in no time. CHEAP. Don't waste your money.
